The start and finish area is located at the Parc des Quinconces and on the Parvis des Thermes, in LUCHON.

It's a priority :

- to be fully aware of the length and specificity of the events and to be fully trained for this;

- It is also essential to have acquired a real capacity for personal autonomy in the mountains to manage the problems inherent in this type of event located at altitude, the physical, psychological, digestive, muscular, joint problems related to the cold and at altitude. The role of the organization is not to help a runner to manage his worries. It is recalled that for this type of event, safety depends on the rider to adapt himself to the conditions or problems encountered.

Depending on the system, the settings made, position of the satellites, the gpx tracks can give different distances. These data have been certified by ITRA, of which the organization is an associate member.

  • ULTRA LAT / LA ROUTE 3404 / LA VENASQUE / 40 Oô-PYRÉNÉES: these four races are reserved for runners trained for mountain trails, in very good physical condition and able to run for several hours in semi-autonomy on trails with more of 2000m. These courses are reserved for adults, men or women, licensed or not. These races are limited to runners in the Espoirs category (1999 to 2001) to the Master 8 category. The runners registered for these events must be aware that this is a high mountain trail and that they will have to take a “Trail” pace so as not to be stopped at a checkpoint. You may be using snow-covered areas.

  • LA K-BOUR: trail open to runners in the Hope category (1999 to 2001) to the Master 8 category, licensed or non-licensed men and women - semi-autonomous race requiring physical and technical training.

  • LA DIKA: this course is an initiation and discovery of trail running at a free pace. It is open to anyone in the Cadets category (2004 to 2005) to Master 8, licensed or not. Open to hikers. For any non-licensed person, a medical certificate less than one year old from the date of the race must be provided to the organization.

Art.2: SEMI AUTONOMY:

The principle of semi-autonomy is the same rule on the 6 circuits.

This consists of being autonomous between two refreshment points, both in terms of food, drinks and safety (adaptation to weather conditions, physical problems, injuries, etc.).

  • Thus, each runner must carry all of his compulsory equipment throughout the duration of the event (see art. 15 Compulsory equipment). Each runner is responsible for the good condition of his equipment in order to ensure his safety or that of another injured competitor. The equipment must not, under any circumstances, be left to a third party or to a supply station;

  • Refueling points are arranged all along the route (about 15km between each point); The runner must make sure to have, at the start of each refueling, the quantities of water and food necessary to reach the next station.

  • Each route offers a number of refreshments:

  • ULTRA LAT: 5 solid liquid refueling stations + arrival

Each runner must assist an injured or endangered runner and must notify the emergency services. Do not forget to also inform the race HQ of the organization using the number you have on the bib.

For various reasons, it can take a long time for emergency services to respond, so your safety will depend on what equipment you have in your bag.
